Prevent the Flu
1. Avoid close contact
Avoid close contact with anyone who appears sick. When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick too.
2. Cover your cough!
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. No tissue around? Your sleeve will do. Coughing in your elbow is a very effective way. It may prevent those around you from getting sick.
3. Wash your hands
Washing your hands often with water and soap will prevent spreading germs. Always bring along a small bottle of hand sanitizer if water and soap is not available.
4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
Germs may spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
5. Stay home if sick
If possible, stay home from work and school when you are sick. This will help prevent spreading your germs to others.
